Every year life on our rapidly changing planet becomes faster, louder, hotter, brighter. How do we, as organisms with a not infinite capacity to process input, mediate the onslaught of sensory stimuli? With these protective suits I challenge my inclination to withdraw from the madness and become part of it instead. A robe adorned with keys to unlock doors, portals and escape routes. A suit made of reflective materials to repel visual, auditory and energetic noise. A bubble wrap coat to pad and protect – a buffer from the assault.
